Recently finished up a large renovation project where we added a new addition to our house which included a new primary bedroom and bathroom. Definitely satisfied with our choice of Center Island Contracting. From the initial quote all the way to the finishing of the project, everything was laid out in detail and done accordingly. Through out the entire process everyone at Center Island answered any questions we had and explained everything they did. Any issues that came up during the renovation was explained thoroughly with multiple options presented to us. I highly recommend them and will be using them for any future renovations.

Overall the whole process was smooth and they competed everything we wanted/asked for. There are some minor hiccup here there during the built but they handle it well and address any problem professionally. After reaching out to different contractors to complete a dormer/first floor renovation to our home, we came across Center Island after seeing a project being done in a neighboring town. CIC did a beautiful job putting up our dormer. We were very happy with how quickly the dormer came about and how respectful the team was to our neighbors. They kept the neighboring properties on both sides of our home clean and undisturbed. CIC made it easy to design our home and make decisions, especially with having an architect and designer on staff. We have been very happy with quality of work they have completed so far. During COVID, me and my wife thought of having a nice master bedroom addition(with en-suite ) and walk -in closet that looks and feel like a nice hotel (since you can’t travel at that time). Center Island Contracting made that happen for us. We are very happy with what they did to our house. I get compliments from everyone (even strangers) that pass by our house (we had the exterior of the house renovated as well). Also, you can trust all the employees that they will send to your house. The contractors kept the space as clean as possible, which was much appreciated while we were living through part of the renovations. Center Island Contracting did a dormer with a master suite (bedroom, bathroom, walk in closet), renovated an existing bathroom, resided and reroofed our home and added a fireplace. Their attention to detail, eye for design, and support is what sets them apart from other contractors in the area. The process moved along quickly. They were very professional, accommodating and well organized throughout the project. Their recommendations were on target and honest. Mike, Myro and all of installation team as well as their office team did a great job. Overall very satisfied with the work they completed. We were told by several folks undergoing construction that nothing gets finished on time but despite the current situation with covid and lack of supplies etc, our project lasted 16-20 weeks which is the exact timeline we had been given at the very beginning. The craftsmanship of the work in the kitchen installation is apparent and appreciated. As with any project there were a few bumps in the road but we always worked towards a feasible solution. I do wish there were less change order along the way but probably an unavoildable circumstance of renovating an older home. You are kept informed of the schedule and stages of the project, the project manager and office manager are both very responsive and easy to get in touch with via phone, text, and email as well as through the use of an app to keep track of changes.

This project included a kitchen, living room with a fireplace, and a bathroom. Evan and Caleb came up with some really great ideas that improved the layout and flow of our home. The day to day workers at CIC were a pleasure to be around and very hard-working. Overall, our project came out beautiful. Our kitchen is spectacular and we are in love with the millwork done on our walls as well as the fireplace mantle. Construction is definitely a roller coaster but we are extremely pleased with the end result.

The first job was to move a sliding back door from one side of the house to the other and to install an additional sliding back door on another level of the home. Center Island Contracting did a phenomenal job with the work. They were courteous, professional, and neat. The final result was outstanding - I could not be happier. The second job was replacing an existing bay window (containing 5 almost floor to ceiling windows in the bay) and installing a new front door and side light. Choosing Center Island Contracting to renovate our basement was the best decision we made. Caleb took our vision and original plans and made it even better. Our project manager Orlando was professional, knowledgeable and had an outstanding work quality. With any project you always hit a bump in the road (you never know what you will find when you completely gut a basement) but Orlando quickly came up with suggestions and made sure we were completely satisfied. We were only 80% done with our basement when we signed onto have our second floor bathroom renovated. The work they did in the bathroom was outstanding. We recently did the entire exterior of our home (front door/siding/portico/front walk/porch/driveway etc..plus installed all new windows with moldings. Caleb (owner) and all of the staff were respectful, friendly and professional. Our house looks amazing!! I want to also add that it was important to me that they begin work and end the day at specific times as I have a special needs child who has anxiety and would be sensitive to loud noises. We think Caleb is a great resource for design and build ideas that are catered to the specific client in terms of budget, style, function, etc. In our case, we did not feel the need to hire a separate designer as Caleb was such a great source of information. We don't believe there is a renovation project that goes smoothly from start to finish, and ours was no exception. However, we think it is even more important that all issues are addressed in a timely manner and there is an open line of communication, which was the case with Caleb. He never failed to reply to the hundreds of emails of questions we had throughout the entire process. We would recommend Center Island Contracting with no reservations. From beautiful bathrooms, millwork, painting, wood floor installation/refinishing to air conditioning, electrical upgrades and plumbing--their work exhibits fine craftsmanship and a painstaking attention to detail. We hired CICI to install HVAC, paint the entire interior of the home, widen and install an asphalt driveway, as well as a few other things. They did excellent work and we are very pleased. Caleb helped us make decisions about what we should or should not do. We were very confident that his years of experience would help guide us in our decision making. The crew was very respectful and took a lot of care and pride in their work. We have more work to do so we will look to hire CICI in the future!

He has a tremendous knowledge of all types of building materials, and communicates and demonstrates the pros and cons of each type until you are satisfied with your final selection. He assures that all of the fine details of a particular job blend properly, yiedling an amazing final product. He keeps you informed every step of the way with nightly e mails that describe the daily progress and upcoming steps, which is very helpful. The workmanship is top notch and second to none. The job site is kept very clean, and the crew is very respectful and pleasant throughout the process.

My wife and I finally managed to get the opportunity to build our dream kitchen, We didn't shop out the job, we went straight to Center Island as they have previously performed 2 major jobs for us, and we have been 100% satisfied with they work they did previously.We have used them previously to build our family room extension, and then build our patio and deck. Once again, they delivered!!! Caleb was involved our design decisions from the very start and his eye for detail and his experience on what works and what doesn't work proved invaluable. They did some very intricate work to put shadow boxes into the bathroom to create the appearance of wainscoting. In the kitchen they worked with some very high-end appliances. In both cases, everyone who came into my home was trustworthy and professional. They used great care in installing all the finishes and in handling the appliances in both the bathroom and kitchen.

A kitchen, bedroom, pantry and 3 closets were created in what was the garage. CIC also expanded the downstairs 1/2 bathroom into a full bathroom (complete with handicap accessibility). They also updated our electric and installed a larger hot water heater. He and his team were friendly, on time, always in contact and very respectful of our home. My 4 year old son still asks for Caleb and the guys.....and our construction was completed over a year ago!!

He is very thorough, no surprises, detailed estimates include things I hadn't thought of, and very creative designs. Caleb is also excellent at choosing colors that work well together, and I greatly appreciated that as it could take me months and a great deal of anxiety choosing colors to complete any project! Center Island Contracting stuck to the budget we set, and worked tirelessly to meet projected completion dates. I am embarking on a major renovation to my home in the nesxt 2 months and am looking forward to working with Center Island again. When time came to expand our living area, we turned to Center Island Again. We had an Architect and a vision but when we sat down to discuss our design, Center Islands Vision once again opened our eye to a design we never imagined. They were patient and accomodating to all of our constant changes and always went above and beyond. The results were amazing, extremely open floor plan to accommodateour families needs, awsome trim work and love those built ins. My husband and I contracted them for a large project in 2010 which was completed in a timely manner, on budget, and done very well. Caleb was available every step of the way to answer questions and solve any problems that arose. The work was complete and the workers were always on time and cleaned up each day before they left. The price was good and stayed the same when the job was finished unless we change anything,and even then Caleb worked with us. We recently had Center Island back to our home for an estimate on another large job and are confident it wil be as smooth as the last time..
